    Learning Chords

For many novices at guitar learning, most important goal is usually to master various easy songs to play on the guitar. And one of the biggest problems here is mastering all the guitar chords needed in order to be able to play all those tunes.

And that’s not always an easy thing to accomplish. Several melodies makes use of chords that appear to have come to exist for hardly any other reason than to make it impossible to play. No wonder that you give up on these songs. They need to wait until you get better at guitar playing.

    G-Em-C-D

The Chord progression G-Em-C-D is a common ( huge understatement!) sequence across the world, in most sorts of music styles. You can of course transpose to other chords, like C-Am-F-G or D-Bm-G-A and so on. Another way to “transpose” a song that not fits your voice is to use a capo at any fret that suits you.

I have put together a little listing of songs that I found that uses these chords. Quite a few uses the progression right through the whole song, others are played with variations. And a few of them uses other chords as well.
